Head of Program South America

The experienced programmer will:

be responsible for designing and coordinating the festival's South America program. S/he will work closely with the other programmers in coordinating an organising the festival program and monthly Comedy Nights. The job leaves room for working out own ideas and gives insight to all areas of festival planning. Next to research and documentation, her/his tasks include correspondence with relevant directors, distributors and festivals, establishing and strengthening contacts to the South American film industry. S/he is supposed to have an independent, firm and dedicated work style. We are looking forward to working with a highly motivated and creative person who is familiar with South American (comedy) film, its history, structures of production and distribution.

ICoFF is looking for:

a Berlin resident who is able and willing to spend approx. 5-15h/week (depending on the status quo of events) working for the festival.

All team members are working on a voluntary basis – unfortunately we can't pay but highly respect your precious work and provide you with useful information, counselling, office material, communication expanses, „Fortbildungen“/ Workshops and of course many contacts to media and film industry.

If you bring:

excellent command of English, Spanish and German, good communication, organisation, IT and research skills. If you've already experienced festival work, especially film programming, if you have a strong interest in and knowledge of South American film/history and its diaspora, if you love cinema, film culture, and innovative events, we are looking forward to meeting you!

Assistant Program North, Southeast and East Asia

Anforderungen und Aufgaben:

- Sichtung und Auswahl relevanter Filme aus Nord, Südost und Ostasien & Diaspora
- Redigieren der Texte für Publikationen- Kontaktaufbau und -pflege mit relevanten Institutionen und Personen
- Kommunikation mit Regisseur/innen, internationalen und nationalen Verleihern, Produktionsfirmen, Institutionen

Erfahrungen und Fähigkeiten:

- Erfahrung im Bereich Festivalprogrammierung
- Sicheres Auftreten, redegewandt, Freude an Moderation und Präsentation
- Solide Kenntnisse des asiatischen Filmschaffens oder überdurchschnittliches Interesse, erste Kontakte in die Filmbranche
- Englisch und Chinesisch (Mandarin) in Wort und Schrift, solide Deutschkenntnisse
- Absolvent/in oder Student/in der Film- oder Kulturwissenschaft mit Regionalfokus, Sinologie oder verwandte Disziplin
- Strukturierte, analytische und selbständige Arbeitsweise, auch unter Zeitdruck
