Short synopsis:

Eleven stereotypes line up for a team-building workshop in the wilderness. The weekend starts out as boring as expected – until one of them turns out to be a psychotic mass murderer. But who? The vain jock? His dumb girlfriend? The nerd or the 'lesbian'? Or is the sensitive guitar freak taking down his colleagues one by one? While the group is being decimated faster than anyone can unpack their suitcases, time is running out to expose the sick slasher so that one of them can make it to the last scene as the last man/woman standing. THE KILLAGE is based on a Pulitzer Prize-winning story. The film is an insane, bloody trip into the human intestines. 

Why this comedy matters:
Director Joe Bauer obviously knows the genre well. His film doesn't leave out a single cliché of the horror or slasher genre. From the extremely stereotypical protagonists to the detailed reconstruction of typical image compositions and the use of sound to build up shock moments, Bauer uses the whole repertoire just to exaggerate it to the point of absurdity. As a result, shock and disgust give way to roaring laughter.
