Short synopsis: 25-year-old Romanian Vlad and 23-year-old Moldavian Vica just got married and are also expecting their first child. They barely have money for a suitable place to live and have an idea: they will simply get married again – in Vica’s home country Bessarabia (historical name of Moldavia), where the bride and groom are showered with gifts on their wedding. At the border from Romania to Bessarabia, we start to suspect that the relationship between the two countries might be complicated: Romanian and Moldavian rails are not the same. So the wheels need to be switched. At the party, things get out of control. Vica’s jealous brother-in-law is only one of the many problems.
