Short synopsis: Mounir lives in a dusty village in Algeria and dreams about a better life for himself and his family – and about more respect from the people in his village. He particularly suffers from the ridicule he has to endure because of his sister's narcolepsy. When he announces her engagement to a rich businessman one night, his life gets a lot more complicated. As the whole village expectantly prepares the wedding for a groom that does not exist, Rym awakes from her sleepiness and starts to pursue her own plans: She has been in a secret relationship with Mounir's best friend for years.
